What things could you take or would want to take from the beatitudes to apply in your own life as you seek to build the person you want to become?
"You're lesser when you're content with just who you are- no more, no less. that's the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can't be bought.

What might we learn about how to deal with pain and suffering from a knowledge and understanding of Nelson Mandela?
Nelson Mandela was an anti-apartheid activist, and dedicated his life to the equal rights for black South Africans. Imprisoned by Afrikaans, Mandela spent twenty-seven years in jail, due to his protests against Apartheid, and the support he gained globally. It is clear that he spent many many years suffering, and despite this upon his release he did not retaliate or seek revenge from those who had wronged him. He continued to spread his message, until Apartheid collapsed and he achieved his goal. Nelson Mandela forgave.
